PLAQUE CONTROL is a preparation containing natural marine algae (Ascophyllum nodosum), which have been proven to have a very beneficial effect on animal health due to their high content of vitamins, minerals, exogenous amino acids and unsaturated fatty acids.

How do seaweed (Ascophyllum nodosum) work?

The brown algae found in Plaque Control contain three groups of substances known to influence plaque accumulation:

• Phenols, iodine, phosphates.
• High content of fucoidan (10-15%), which is a source of sulfur that makes it difficult for bacteria to adhere to the pellicle.
• Zinc, silicates and sulphates, which increase the sulphation of saliva components and can bind calcium.

Brown seaweed (Ascophyllum nodosum) has been shown to change the properties of saliva, making it harder for plaque to settle and tartar to form, and to reduce the overall number of bacteria in the oral cavity, thereby preventing unpleasant odors. Use:

It is recommended to administer the following amounts of the preparation daily during the animal's meal:

• Cats and small and medium-sized dogs: up to 20 kg body weight - 1 flat scoop of the preparation (420 mg)
• Large dogs: over 20 kg bw - 2 flat scoops (840 mg)
• 1 flat scoop is approximately 420 mg of product (the package contains a scoop).

If the diet is based on dry food, the food should be slightly moistened so that the powder adheres to the food and is consumed by the animal.
