The Trovet RID diet is a complete and balanced food with adapted levels of nutrients to prevent and alleviate metabolic changes caused by kidney, heart or liver failure.
The Trovet RID diet is characterized by reduced levels of phosphorus and sodium, which allows for the reduction of hyperphosphatemia and helps control heart failure, hypertension and ascites. A moderate level of high-quality protein ensures the coverage of the minimum daily requirement of amino acids and maintenance of proper kidney function.
Increased levels of B vitamins inhibit disease progression and help alleviate disease symptoms. Adding substances that raise urine pH counteracts acidosis.
