Prescription Diet m/d cat food is high in protein and has consistent carbohydrate content across all product formulations to help control glucose levels in diabetic cats.
Prescription Diet m/d cat food is also an alternative nutritional therapy for weight loss in cats. The high content of L-carnitine helps burn fat and maintain muscle mass.
Prescription Diet m/d cat food contains added Omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil to help fight inflammation. Diabetes and obesity are associated with inflammation
Main indications:
- Diabetes in underweight, normal weight, slightly overweight or obese cats
- Fatty liver disease (without encephalopathy)
Other indications:
- Weight loss and maintenance (with a tendency to become obese or after weight loss)
- Heart disease from mild to moderate stages, including asymptomatic ones
- Cancer, most forms
