Teether made of natural deer antlers (deer, fallow deer, elk, goat)

Antler chews are a great solution for dogs that like to chew. And their owners can be satisfied with the natural and healthy composition of such chews.

Deer antlers are all-natural, durable chew toys that dogs love. Antler chews are odorless, long-lasting, do not chip and help avoid problems with keeping teeth clean.

Chewing helps reduce the build-up of plaque and tartar, and calms dogs' destructive tendencies and anxiety by focusing their attention on the chew.

An additional advantage of the teethers is their durability. Unlike traditional toys, which temperamental dogs can eat in just a few minutes, a dog can enjoy antler chews for many days.

The antlers from which we make the teethers come from annual collections - they are found in Polish and foreign forests and then properly trimmed. It is a gift from nature and no animals were harmed in the process of making the teether!

All antlers undergo thorough quality control, which means that the bite sizes are the same and in standardized shapes, and all edges are smoothed so that the dog can enjoy biting without the risk of hurting its muzzle.

Antler chews come in two versions:

  • Easy: a teether in the form of a half (cut lengthwise) - it is easier to bite.
  • Hard: whole chew - it is more difficult to bite and the dog needs more time to reach the tasty inside.

Advantages of antler chews:

  • Long lasting!
Antler chews are chewed by dogs much longer than traditional animal treats such as ears, pressed leather and others. This makes their purchase economical.

  • Safe chewing!
Deer antlers are much less likely to chip and splinter than processed bones. Thanks to its structure, the antlers do not crack or chip when chewed, but slowly crumble.

  • Healthy!
Chewing antlers contain many nutritious nutrients and minerals, and are very rich in calcium and collagen. All antler chews are natural, without preservatives and antibiotics. These are natural antlers without any additives.

  • No smell and no stains!
Antlers have virtually no odor or elements that could stain the sofa, carpet or furniture.

Worth knowing about antlers:

Antler is the fastest growing bone tissue in the world in the entire natural environment - initially it is cartilage that grows quickly (up to three centimeters a day) and then ossifies. Deer shed their antlers around February - March, and in July/August there are new, fully developed antlers on their heads, weighing several kilograms!

During growth, the antlers are soft and covered with velvety skin (spine), which provides all the ingredients needed for antler growth. When the antlers reach the proper size, they begin to harden and the spike dries and is worn off. In winter, the cartilage mineralizes into hard bone and then falls off - this is how shedding occurs.

Antlers are a phenomenon of nature. While scientists are trying to discover the secrets to rapid cell regeneration, dogs can enjoy antler chews for health and fun!

Antlers are highly nutritious: rich in protein, calcium phosphate, low in fat. It also contains a lot of magnesium, sodium, copper, zinc and iron. Deer antlers left in the forest are quickly gnawed by forest animals looking for valuable minerals.

Using antler chews:

Accidents of animal injury while chewing antler chews are practically marginal compared to chewing pig or cow bones. However, we would like to point out that it is worth supervising the dog while playing, as there may be sharp edges on the teethers. Don't let your dog try to break the chew in half with his molars. Don't let your dog eat more than 2 inches of antler per day.

When choosing a chew, make sure you get the right size for your dog. Choosing a chew that is too small may cause your dog to choke while greedily chewing. When a chew becomes small enough to pose a choking hazard to your dog, remove it from your pet and replace it with a new one.
